According to the Mayfield Police Department, officers received a call about two young children, one unclothed, that had wandered up to a home in the 300 Block of North 7th Street. When officers arrived, the toddlers were reportedly found in the roadway.
A three-year-old boy and two-year-old girl were taken into protective custody, and were transported to the police department. After canvasing the neighborhood, 24-year-old Darren Collins was found in the 300 Block of North 8th Street.
Collins told police the children must have gotten out through the front door of the home. After an investigation, Collins was placed under arrest for two counts of 1st degree wanton endangerment. Collins was taken to the Graves County Jail.
