From 11 am to 1 pm diners will select from a mixture of hand-painted and specially selected bowls, which they use to sample tasty fare from about 20 local restaurants that have donated their talents, time and food to the event. After eating, you take your special bowl home as a constant reminder of the hungry people around the world and in your own community. This year’s event includes a silent auction and door prizes. There will also be surprise souvenirs for diners.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Mayfield-Graves County Food Pantry, which serves about 350 local families each month.
The $15 tickets are available at Trace Creek Baptist Church from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday; The Good News Shoppe, 203 East South Street; or for tickets of 20 or more call Event Coordinator Claudia Heath at 270-705-6062. Tickets are also available at the door.
