An incident in Mayfield Thursday led to a man's arrest on multiple charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers went to a home Thursday to check on a woman who was thought to be in danger. Upon arrival, officers met with 37-year-old David Marutzky, of Mount Prospect, IL, who was reportedly uncooperative and suspected to be under the influence.

Officers said Marutzky became combative, and then fled from officers in an attempt to elude arrest. He was arrested and lodged in the Graves County Jail.

He's charged with fleeing or evading police, alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest, 4th degree assault, unlawful imprisonment and terroristic threatening.
