A two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in Graves County sent two people to the hospital.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 2:40 pm at the intersection of US 45 North and State Route 408. Deputies said 28-year-old Justin Dick was traveling north on US 45 North, and 73-year-old Jimmy Hawkins was traveling south on US 45 North, attempting to turn left onto State Route 408 East.

Hawkins crossed the north bound lanes at the same time Dick was crossing the intersection, causing Dick to strike Hawkins' vehicle on the passenger side.

One of Hawkins' passengers, a juvenile, was transported by ambulance to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Dick was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment of injuries.
