Man Charged with Raping Murray State Student

A man has been charged with the rape of a Murray State University student.

Murray State Police said officers arrested 26-year-old Reyon Williams Wednesday night on charges of first degree rape and second degree unlawful imprisonment. Police said the alleged rape took place early Saturday morning in an on-campus residence.

University officials are reportedly providing recovery resources to the person who reported the incident.

This is the second rape reported on the MSU campus in the past month. A student reported being raped on Aug. 26, alleging that the assailant was someone they knew. The alleged victim in that case chose not to involve police.
