Man Charged with Murder in Fatal Calloway Crash

Police have charged a New Concord man with murder stemming from a fatal crash last year in Calloway County.

Troopers with Kentucky State Police arrested 40-year-old Shannon Jarvis Thursday afternoon. On August 23, 2019 Jarvis was involved in a head-on crash on KY 121 South. Police say he crossed the center line and struck another vehicle driven by 80-year-old Mary Cole, also of New Concord.

Cole was pronounced dead at the scene by the Calloway County Coroner. Jarvis was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee for treatment. 

Jarvis is charged with murder, aggravated DUI and traffic offenses.
