Police have arrested a man on charges of murder and burglary after the body of a former Marshall County resident was found in a northwest Florida home on Monday.

Thirty-six-year-old Stephen Anthony Taylor is charged with first degree murder and burglary. Investigators say a caller reported a possible murder Monday about 6 pm. When police went to the home, they found the body of 38-year-old Sandra "Sandy" Graves inside.

According to a release from DeFuniak Springs Police, detectives determined Taylor was responsible for the death and immediately relayed information to surrounding agencies. At approximately 8 pm, Taylor was arrested at Burger King in DeFuniak Springs without incident.

Taylor was taken to the Walton County Jail.

According to Marshall County Daily, Graves was a former resident of Marshall County and 1997 graduate of Marshall County High School. She had three children, but police said they were not home at the time of the incident.
