A man charged with killing his sister in Lyon County and stealing her car is back in the Bluegrass State.

Kentucky State Troopers extradited 66-year-old Arthur A. Long on Thursday. Long was arrested Dec. 5, 2016 by Tennessee Highway Patrol near Cookeville, TN in reference to the ongoing KSP investigation. Long is originally from Chicago, but had recently moved to Eddyville.

Upon being extradited to Kentucky, Long was charged with murder and theft by unlawful taking (auto). The charges stem from an investigation into the Nov. 30, 2016 death of Long's sister, 68-year-old Nancy P. Minor in Eddyville. Long was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police. Anyone with information is asked to contact the KSP Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555.
