Two people found asleep inside a running vehicle face numerous drug charges.

Livingston County Sheriff Bobby Davidson said he received a call from a citizen on Saturday, about a vehicle parked in the travel portion of the roadway on Joiner Road off of Pisgah Road. The caller said there appeared to be two people asleep in the vehicle and the vehicle was running.

When Davidson arrived, the vehicle was still sitting in the road running with two occupants inside. According to Davidson, both occupants, 34-year-old Joshua Williams of Princeton and 23-year-old Alysa Mallory of Hampton, appeared to be under the influence of drugs and were taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle revealed over seven ounces of suspected crystal methamphetamine, over $3,000 in cash, a small quantity of marijuana, two types of prescription pills packaged for sale, a rifle and a handgun. The vehicle, a 2008 Ford Mustang, was seized along with the money, firearms and drugs. Police said the approximate street value of the seized crystal methamphetamine is $15,000.

Both Williams and Mallory were arrested and charged with public intoxication, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, and two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance. Williams was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Both Williams and Mallory were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
