A deer is to blame for a two vehicle crash in Graves County Saturday night that left one person injured.

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said the wreck happened around 10:00 pm on KY 94, just east of Tri-City. Redmon said a car driven by 34-year-old Justin Lane of South Fulton, TN came to a stop in the westbound lane in an effort to avoid colliding with a deer in the roadway.

A vehicle, driven by 24-year-old Michael Thompson, of Sedalia, came over a hillcrest and was unable to avoid colliding with the rear of Lane's vehicle.

A passenger in Lane's vehicle, 35-year-old Amy Webber, of South Fulton, TN, was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
