Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Mayfield welcomes two new troopers. Trooper James “Bryan” Luckett and Trooper Jay D. Dunn were among the 41 troopers who graduated Friday from the KSP Academy in Frankfort.

Trooper Luckett is a resident of Jefferson County, but will be relocating to the Post 1 area.  Trooper Dunn is a resident of Graves County. Both new troopers have prior law enforcement experience.

They will both be assigned to Post 1’s western squad, which includes the counties of Fulton, Hickman, Carlisle, Ballard, and Graves. Their first official duties at Post 1 will be assisting with security surrounding the upcoming solar eclipse.
