Juveniles Charged in String of Murray Burglaries
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MURRAY - The Murray Police Department made two arrests after a series of burglaries.

Police say seven burglaries were reported over a short period of time in the area off Bailey Road commonly referred to as “Cambridge 2.” The area includes Welch Drive, Harvard Drive, Princeton Drive, Stanford Drive, Vassar Drive, and Wilshire Drive.

An investigation led to information about two juveniles that could be involved, so police interviewed them and their guardians. This led to execution of a search warrant at a storage shed, where police say they found multiple items that had been reported stolen. They included a handgun, electronics, jewelry and clothing.

Charges were filed against the juveniles in Calloway District Court through a court designated worker. Those charges include 1st degree burglary and theft of a firearm.

Anyone with information about these or any other burglaries is asked to contact Detective Wiggins at the Murray Police Department.
