A man charged with murder after a shooting incident in June must now have a mental evaluation.

The Livingston County Circuit Court Clerk says 19-year-old Tyler Jones pleaded not guilty Wednesday during an arraignment. After a motion from Jones' lawyer, a judge ordered a mental evaluation to determine if Jones is competent to stand trial. That evaluation must take place within the next 90 days, and another court appearance for Jones is scheduled for November 21.

Jones was arrested after 15-year-old Peyton Hurt of Boaz was shot in the head at a party on June 9. Kentucky State Police reports say witnesses identified Jones as the shooter, and said he was in a fit of rage after Hurt accused him of cheating on his fiance', Alexis Johnson.

Johnson was also arraigned on Wednesday, and also entered a not guilty plea to hindering apprehension. Her next court appearance is October 17.
