Job Fair at Benton Wood Products This Wednesday

Kentucky Lake Economic Development has announced that Benton Wood Products, a subsidiary of Independent Stave Company, has scheduled a hiring event for Wednesday, September 27th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at their facility at 4437 Mayfield Highway in Benton, Kentucky. 

The company will be recruiting their second group of production workers for their newly built manufacturing facility. Recruitment for other positions, including additional production workers, will occur at a later time, as the facility moves toward full production.

“We have hired our first phase of employees so that this second group will round out our production line,” said Mark Grundy, Retention Specialist. “We’re looking for responsible people who are eager to be a part of our company and rich manufacturing history.”

All job-seekers are invited to attend. However, those with a minimum of three years of manufacturing or construction experience are preferred. Each position will earn a base training wage of $13.50 an hour. 

“I am glad that Benton Wood Products are ready to begin production,” explained Josh Tubbs, Director for the Kentucky Lake Economic Development. “They are an excellent company, and they are going to be great company for Marshall County.
