CALVERT CITY - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is detouring westbound vehicles this morning on I-24 at Calvert City.

The detour will allow the Kentucky State Police to perform a crash reconstruction investigation on the US 62 Exit 27 overpass.

The detour is expected to last from 7 am till 10:30 am.

Westbound traffic will take the Exit 27 westbound exit ramp, then cross US 62 and return to I-24 through the entry ramp.

Traffic this morning is already reported to be backed up to the 29 mile marker because of this diversion.
