I-24 Crash Involving Three Semis Leaves One Hurt
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MARSHALL COUNTY - Bad weather is to blame for a crash Thursday morning that sent one person to the hospital and snarled traffic on Interstate 24 for several hours.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened just after midnight at the 21-mile-marker of I-24 eastbound. Deputies say strong crosswinds caused a semi truck and trailer to roll over, blocking both eastbound lanes.

Two other semi truck and trailers could not stop in time and struck the overturned truck and trailer. Deputies said one of the drivers was transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The eastbound lanes were re-opened at 9:30 am.
