According to the Mayfield Department, the collision happened around 7:45 am at 45 North and Park Terrace. Officers said 19-year-old Corey Dunaway of Mayfield was traveling north on US 45.
Police said 31-year-old Tommy Tharp of Mayfield made a left turn onto 45 North from Park Terrace. Tharp did not see Dunaway's vehicle, and was struck in the driver's side rear door.
Both Dunaway and Tharp were transported by ambulance to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
