Hickory Man Arrested on Meth Charges

A Graves County man was arrested on drug charges Thursday. According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was traveling north on KY 97 when he met a vehicle, driven by 24-year-old David James of Hickory, in his lane of traffic about two miles south of Mayfield.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop and during a search of the vehicle he found several straws and pipes used to ingest methamphetamine. According to the deputy, the pipe and straws contained methamphetamine.

James was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless driving. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
