Health Departments Monday COVID Updates

WESTERN KENTUCKY, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - Area health departments reported several new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

Since December 23, the Marshall County Health Department has seen 76 new cases of the virus. The new cases raise the county's total to 1,585.

The Graves County Health Department has confirmed 71 new cases of the virus and 2 additional deaths. This brings the total number of cases in the county to 2,402, with 68 deaths.

The Purchase District Health Department said they are aware of 38 new cases since Saturday. The new cases include 27 in McCracken County, 10 in Carlisle County, and 1 in Ballard County.

The Southern Seven Health Department reports 143 new cases and 6 new deaths since their last update on December 23. The new cases include 62 people in Union County, 33 in Johnson County, 21 in Massac County, 11 in Pope County, 6 in Hardin County, and 5 each in Alexander and Pulaski Counties. The deaths include 4 people in Massac County, one in Union County, and one in Hardin County.
