27th 'Groceries for Good' Food Drive Today

The annual Groceries for Good food drive is underway today until 5 pm at participating locations in McCracken and Massac counties.

Participating grocery stores include Banks Market, Cash Saver, Food Giant, Forthman Foods I.G.A., all three Paducah Kroger stores, Big John Grocery, and Save-A-Lot.

The program was created 27 years ago and to date has donated over $675,000 worth of groceries, personal hygiene, cleaning supplies, and baby items to local family support agencies.

A total of twelve McCracken and Massac County agencies will benefit from this year's campaign; in Paducah, River City Mission, The Salvation Army, Paducah Day Nursery, Paducah Cooperative Ministry, Martha's Vineyard, Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center, Family Service Society, Hope Unlimited Family Care Center, and St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Massac County agencies include COPE Food Pantry, Guardian Family Service, and Hope Unlimited Family Care Center.
