MARSHALL COUNTY, KY - A Marshall County High School student has received a Unites States Service Academy appointment.

Jackson Beal of Gilbertsville has received an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

The United States Military Academy's mission is to provide a four-year education and to train and inspire their Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is prepared for a career as an officer in the United States Army.

"It's my pleasure to recommend Jackson to West Point. He showcases every value necessary to be successful at the United States Military Academy. I know he will represent his family, community and all of the First District with honor," said Congressman James Comer.
