A west Tennessee man was arrested after a crash Wednesday in Fulton.

KYTN reports that Fulton Police were called after a vehicle struck a utility pole, and left the scene.

Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot off Middle Road, with 50-year-old Frederick Depriest, of Memphis, standing near the vehicle.

He was allegedly unsteady on his feet, and a strong odor of alcohol was present.

Depriest confessed to drinking alcoholic beverages, and told officers he thought he was in Dyersburg.

He was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, operating a vehicle under the influence, criminal mischief, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage.
