Four People Arrested on Drug, Alcohol Charges

Four people were arrested on various charges early Sunday following a traffic stop in Graves County. According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, deputies stopped a vehicle at approximately 1:50am on State Route 1241 in the Folsomdale area.

When deputies approached the vehicle, there was reportedly a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver, 44-year-old David Reeves of Arlington, submitted to field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DUI. After finding a prescription pill in the vehicle, Reeves was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A passenger in the vehicle, 40-year-old April Reeves of Arlington was also arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. Deputies said Reeves would not comply with deputies' commands to get out of the vehicle and they had to remove her by force. April Reeves was additionally charged with resisting arrest.

She was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon after deputies allegedly found a large knife concealed in the floor of the vehicle below where she was previously seated.

Two other passengers, 24-year-old Shannon McFarland of Hardin and 27-year-old Autumn Hunter of Mayfield, were arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Deputies said McFarland and Hunter would not comply with deputies' orders to get out of the vehicle and they had to be forcibly removed. Both were additionally charged with resisting arrest.

All four were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
