Four Arrested on Theft, Organized Crime Charges

Four people have been arrested by Murray Police on theft and organized crime charges.

Police say they began an investigation in cooperation with a local retail store's security staff. Three local residents were arrested, along with a woman from Nebraska, for allegedly shoplifting items and then fraudulently returning merchandise.

Those arrested were 19-year-old Helen N. Austin of Mayfield, 21-year-old Joseph Delaney of Murray, 19-year-old Frances C. Lee of New Concord, and 22-year-old Causha Wilkey of Geneva, Nebraska. 

All face charges of theft by deception under $500, theft by unlawful taking under $500, and engaging in organized crime. All four were taken to Calloway County Jail.
