Four people face drug charges in Graves County. Graves County sheriff's deputies stopped a car in Mayfield Wednesday and cited the driver, 41-year-old Amee Requena of Clinton, for failure to use a turn signal. Detectives asked for consent to search her vehicle and found approximately a quarter pound of marijuana in the console.

Requena was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia. One of Requena's passengers, 27-year-old Darrius Hunt of Mayfield, was found to be in possession of a small bag of suspected marijuana. Hunt is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

As part of their investigation, detectives then searched a home on Lochridge Street in Mayfield and found two 40-caliber handguns, almost two pounds of marijuana, a set of digital scales and $430 cash. Two men at the home, 27-year-old David J. Houston and 26-year-old Kyle Franklin, both of Mayfield, were arrested.

Franklin is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, and endangering the welfare of a minor. Houston is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia, complicity to tampering with physical evidence and complicity to endangering the welfare of a minor.

All four suspects were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
