According to the Mayfield Police Department, an officer made a traffic stop on South 9th Street. Police say the driver, 58-year-old Ricky Lynn Brashier of Dyersburg, TN, was under the influence of medication.
After arresting Brashier, police found that he was in possession of medication that was not prescribed to him. Brashier was taken to the Graves County Jail.
He's charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of controlled substance, disregarding a stop sign and improper signal.
