Deputies Seek Help Solving Several Recent Thefts
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MARSHALL COUNTY - The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance with solving several recent thefts.

On October 10, Marshall County E-911 was contacted about a vehicle striking a boat and trailer that was abandoned in the roadway in the Fairdealing/Jonathan Creek area.

Deputies say their investigation revealed that someone driving a dark blue minivan stole the boat and trailer from a home near the area. The trailer was not secured to the vehicle properly and it came off into the roadway.

A witness reportedly saw the dark blue minivan with the boat and trailer on U.S. 68 East before the trailer came loose. Another witness then saw the same dark blue minivan trying to load the boat and trailer back onto the van, but as witnesses arrived, the suspects fled. Someone driving through the area was not able to avoid the boat and struck it.

Between October 10 and October 14, a single axle trailer with several hundred dollars worth of fencing materials was stolen from a home on Highway 68 East just east of Moors Camp Highway. The trailer had a dove tail and lift gate removed from it. The fenders are diamond plated as well.

Sometime between October 16 and October 17, a red 2015 EZGo golf cart was stolen from a home on Sledd Creek Road.

Anyone with information on these thefts should contact the Marshall County Tip Line at 270-527-2677.
