Crash at Benton Intersection Injures One Driver

A Marshall County woman was hurt in a two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department responded at 4:20 pm to the intersection of U.S. Highway 641 and Main Street in Benton. They say 21-year-old Carlee M. Laird-Reddick of Benton was northbound on Highway 641 South while 22-year-old Meghann K. Richardson of Murray was driving south on Main Street. Deputies say as Richardson started to cross Highway 641 when the traffic signal turned green, her vehicle was hit as Laird-Reddick came through the intersection.

Laird-Reddick was taken to Marshall County Hospital by EMS for treatment of her injuries.
