Local non-profit groups can now apply for grants from a local philanthropic organization.

The Community Foundation of West Kentucky is accepting grant applications from area non-profits who serve their communities of Western Kentucky, in the areas of COMMUNITY ART, EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT, HEALTH AWARENESS, CHILDREN’S PROGRAM, SOCIAL SERVICES AND COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT.

The foundation will accept applications until 4:00 P.M. on February 14, 2020.

Each application will be reviewed for eligibility. The organization must be defined as a tax tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Awarding, approval and distribution of the grants is at the sole discretion of the Community Foundation of West Kentucky Grants Committee. All grant amounts will be for at least $1,000. Filling out an application does not guarantee the awarding of a grant, because this is a competitive grant process.

Attendance at the Philanthropy 360 Event on March 5th is REQUIRED by organizations seeking a grant. It is at this event the grant awards will be announced and distributed. Alternates are chosen for those organizations not represented.

The March 5th Event will be held at the Market House Theatre multi-purpose building at 132 Market House Square from noon to 1:30 p.m. (Lunch will be served with a RSVP).

Any additional questions may be directed to: Tony Watkins at 270-442-8622.

To apply go to the Philanthropy 360 web-site @ CFWESTKY.COM.
