The former Marshall County High School football coach charged with inappropriately messaging a teenager has been barred from high school games while he awaits trial.

Marshall County detectives charged Barnard with sending inappropriate images to a 15-year-old student and asked for naked pictures of the teenager. A grand jury indicted Barnard on charges of solicitation of the use of a minor in sexual performance a class C felony, use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities a class D felony, sexual abuse first degree a class D felony and distribution of obscene matter to minors a class A misdemeanor.

A pre-trial hearing for Barnard has been set for November 7th.
