The accident occurred at the 41-mile marker on I-69 in Marshall County.
Kentucky state troopers said 35-year-old William Nelson of Dexter, and 22-year-old Asia Sledd of Murray, were on a motorcycle when they struck a deer and were thrown from the motorcycle.
A car driven by 25-year-old Kermit Peck of Camden, Tennessee, struck Nelson. Another vehicle driven by 67-year-old Michael Martin of Gilbertsville, struck Nelson as well.
Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene. Sledd was taken to the Marshall County Hospital by EMS, and was later airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
