According to Kentucky State Police, 39-year-old Shannon L. Jarvis of New Concord, was southbound on Highway 121 when she crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Mary J. Cole, also of New Concord.
Cole was pronounced dead at the scene by the Calloway County Coroner.
Jarvis was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital, and later flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
