You may have heard or read that NASA is concerned about some companies that are selling unsafe Solar Eclipse glasses. CFSB officials say they glasses they gave away are safe for use on the big day, Monday, August 21st.

NASA recommends only using eclipse glasses printed with ISO 12312-2 on them that have been manufactured by four U.S. companies: American Paper Optics, Rainbow Symphony, Thousand Oaks Optical, and TSE 17.

CFSB’s glasses are printed with ISO 12312-2:2015 on the inside of the left ear and were manufactured in Reseda, California by Rainbow Symphony, Inc.

NASA also states that individuals should discard old eclipse viewing glasses, as they become unsafe after three years. Also, scratched or wrinkled lenses are not safe for viewing the eclipse. Please be safe while viewing on this upcoming special day!
