"This is one of the first things we've been able to do here,” said Community Financial Services Bank's (CFSB) Director of Marketing, Jeremy Rose. “We're really excited about that and about the future of CFSB with the Graves County School System."
"I feel that one way CFSB can give back to the Graves County community is through economic and financial education," said Betsy Flynn, the bank's CEO. "And so, we are so thrilled to have the opportunity to do this with the Graves County School System. We thank Supt. Kim Dublin and the board of education for allowing us to have this opportunity."
"I appreciate CFSB's support in many ways," said Dublin. "They're coming into Graves County and will help make it a stronger community. I also appreciate their values of literacy, financial literacy, and growing our community of young people into responsible adults."
"When we first started talking with Supt. Dublin, we were happy to host her in Benton. We were thrilled to hear the vision she and the Graves County school board have for the schools," said Graves County High School graduate Andrew Ellison, who now serves CFSB's Graves County Market President. "We didn't just want to write a check; we want to partner with the school system and I think this is the first step in seeing that happen. It's very exciting!
"We're excited for CFSB to be part of the Graves County community and to help the school board and children in any way we can," added Graves County High graduate Jesse Clark, who works as a risk analyst for the bank.
"We've wanted to come to Graves County for a number of years, because it's such an important part of the western Kentucky community, but we waited because we were looking for those just-right faces for Graves County," Flynn explained. "We knew when we found Andrew Ellison and Jesse Clark, that we'd found the right people to represent CFSB on the leadership team here."
"So, we're also incredibly excited to partner with the Graves County Schools and Dave Ramsey Solutions of Nashville, Tenn., to bring the Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum to Graves County students at both the middle and high schools," said Cody Myers, Client Relationship Manager. "This program will teach these students the basics of how to handle money, how to avoid unnecessary debt, to build wealth so you can give to the community down the road and change Graves County one family at a time. We also will host events open to the public."
CFSB's Graves County Banking Center will be located on the north side of Mayfield at the corner of the Ky. Highway 121 Bypass and U.S. Highway 45.
