Benton Man Arrested After Fleeing From Crash

A Benton man is behind bars after allegedly running away from a car crash.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, the crash took place on Jackson School Road Tuesday evening, when 42-year-old Ronald Fleet of Benton, was apparently driving under the influence.

Deputies searched for Fleet around the area of the crash, and found him in a field a short distance away.

Fleet has been charged with 3rd offense DUI, operating on a suspended operators license, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Fleet was checked out at the hospital and then taken to the Marshall County Jail.
