Ballard FBLA Members Qualify for State Competition

Twenty members of the Ballard Memorial High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America placed at regional competition at Murray State University on March 6, and will go to Louisville for state competition on April 17-19.

First-place winners included Zane Parsons for accounting II; Shelby Hawes and Cheyenne Shely for banking and finance; Lindsay Tatum, Jayde Newton and Mason LeFevre for digital video design; Preston Reno for introduction to business; Parker Feezor for introduction to financial math; and Ross Jones for spreadsheet.

Second-place finishers were Chance Shely, Jacob Sullivan and Matthew Gilbert, 3-D animation; Mason Purcell and Mahaila Pinchot, name tags; Shelby Hawes, newsletter; and Emily Morehead, talent.

Third-place finishers were Lindsey Miller, computer applications; Mason Allen, Ryan Gudgell and Austin Stone, graphic design; and Lindsay Tatum and Kameron Howle, publication design.

Advisers Marla Cooper and Korrie Purcell said this was the most awards that Ballard had won since they had been involved with the program.
