2.5 Magnitude Quake Shakes Area

A magnitude 2.5 earthquake shook the ground across portions of the area at 7:12 pm, Friday.

According to the USGS, the epicenter for the tremor was in the Bootheel of Missouri, near the town of Steele.

Another minor tremor not detectable to humans occurred along the Fulton County, Kentucky and Tennessee State Line Friday afternoon.  It measured 1.8 at around 10 am Friday morning.
