1 Killed, 3 Injured In Caldwell County Wreck

PRINCETON, KY - Kentucky State Police tell WKDZ radio that one person died Monday night in a single vehicle crash, east of Princeton on Dawson Springs Road. According to the report, the accident claimed the life of one of three passengers, 19-year-old Courtney Flear, of Princeton, who was pronounced dead on the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, 25-year old Paul Loney, of Princeton, and two other passengers, 29-year old Jason Whitney, of Princeton and 42-year old Alicia Cotton, of Eddyville, were injured in the wreck. Loney was taken to Caldwell Medical Center, with Whitney flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Cotton flown to Skyline Medical Center, in Nashville.

Investigators say the accident occurred when a car driven by Loney ran off the eastbound lanes US 62, hit a guardrail and came to final rest in a ravine. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
