I-24 back open coming into Kentucky after pickup fire

I-24 is back open after a pickup truck pulling a camper caught fire this morning as it entered Kentucky.

The truck pulled over just past the Ohio River bridge as the fire got underway about 5:30 a.m. The driver was able to unhitch the camper and pull the pickup forward, sparing the camper.

The truck was fully engulfed in flames before fire crews could put it out. 

Both eastbound lanes were back open by 7:30 a.m.
