A traffic stop on Monday morning prompts a search and arrest of a wanted Paducah man.

The stop happened on South Friendship Road Sunday morning just after 1:30 a.m. McCracken County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Kori E. Lane of Lone Oak. Her passenger, later identified as 28-year-old Donte M. Thompson, allegedly gave deputies false identifying information at the time of the stop.

Further investigation confirmed Thompson's identity and uncovered his multiple felony warrants. That prompted a search warrant that then served on Lane's home. Lane was reportedly home at the time of the search and is said to have told deputies that Thompson was not there. He was ultimately located hiding in a room at the home and both he and Lane were arrested.

Thompson was charged with the parole and probation violation warrants along with giving deputies false identifying information. Lane was charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension.
