Traffic accident leads to death of Kuttawa motorcyclist

A Tuesday afternoon traffic accident left a Kuttawa man dead.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said the accident occured at the intersection of Kentucky Dam Road and Eagle Nest Drive when a motorcycle operated by 63 year old Gordon Smith of Kuttawa collided with a vehicle operated by 70 year old Benny Green of Paducah.

Smith was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead while Green was treated for injuries at an area hospital.
