Shooting incident in Clinton sends man to Nashville hospital

A shooting incident on Sunday night in Clinton sent a Hickman County man to a Nashville hospital.

The shooting happened behind Acee's convenience store. Hickman County Sheriff's deputies said that after getting a call about shots fired, they saw an individual running from behind the store. A juvenile was arrested at the scene.

The victim, Deshawn Nettles of Clinton, was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville to be treated for his injuries.

Deputies said the motive for the shooting is still under investigation. 

The Hickman County Sheriff's Office said they would not be releasing any more details in an effort to maintain the integrity of the jury pool in a small community.
