Gusty Winds, Heavy Rain Possible This Week
By National Weather Service
PADUCAH, KY - The National Weather Service office in Paducah has issued a hazardous weather outlook this week that warns about high winds and heavy rain as temperatures rise into the 60s.

South winds will pick up this afternoon and continue overnight on Tuesday. Some areas may see sustained winds increase to as high as 20 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts of 30 to 35 mph. This will pose a hazard for travel, especially to high-profile vehicles. Secure any loose outdoor items that may be strewn about by the wind.

Thunderstorms enter the forecast Tuesday night, mainly across western Kentucky, then regionwide on Wednesday. Thunderstorms return to the forecast again on Thursday. Locally heavy rain will be the main concern.

Heavy rainfall rates are possible Thursday night through Saturday. Ponding water on roadways and in flood prone areas is expected.
