Sheriff's Office Investigating Theft of Chainsaws

Authorities in southern Illinois are investigating the theft of several chainsaws from a Massac County home.

The Massac County Sheriff's Office says they got a report on July 11 about several chainsaws stolen from a home in the 2800 block of US HWY 45 North. Deputies said the chainsaws were stolen from a storage box in the bed of a truck.

The chainsaws reported stolen are a Husqvarna 460 Rancher, Husqvarna 395XP, Stihl MS193T and a Stihl MS290. The 4 chainsaws are valued $3,900. Also stolen was a 160 foot plex bull rope with climbing line.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this theft to contact law enforcement.
