Seven Massac County residents have been arrested after a multi-agency investigation into methamphetamine trafficking. 

According to Illinois State Police and the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force, all seven people were arrested after warrants were issued for the charge of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine. The are 31-year-old Amanda Perry, 51-year-old Michael Hurst, 39-year-old Dusty Baker, 35-year-old Angelynn Carlton and 36-year-old Elizabeth Leach, all of Metropolis, 30-year-old Anthony Goss of Brookport, and 27-year-old Katlyn Koon of Joppa. 

Hurst was also wanted on two warrants for failure to appear in court.

The Southern Illinois Drug Task Force includes members from the Massac County Sheriff’s Department, Massac County States Attorney’s office, Metropolis Police Department, Hardin County Sheriff’s Department, Hardin County States Attorneys’ office, and the Illinois State Police Zone 7. 

The case is being prosecuted by Massac County State’s Attorney Josh Stratemeyer.
