The National Weather Service office in Paducah says that a few strong thunderstorms could develop tonight.

An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm may develop in the Evansville Tri-State early this evening. Otherwise isolated to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms will move through the rest of the region late tonight into early Sunday morning.

Damaging winds, large hail, and isolated flash flooding are the main threats.

Rain chances will taper off by Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will fall back into the upper 80s for a few afternoons before another round of heat returns for the second half of the week.

Highs Wednesday through Friday are expected in the mid 90s with a heat index well into triple digits.
