Missing Metropolis Man Found

A Metropolis man went missing early Saturday morning, and police say he is now safe and sound, but they didn't elaborate on how or where he was found.

According to the Massac County Sheriff's Department's original release, 29-year-old Scott Sommer, of Metropolis, had last been seen around 5 am Saturday in the area of US Highway 45 and Illinois State Road 145 in Metropolis.  

The sheriff's department has not yet released any additional information regarding his disappearance or him being found, only that he was found safe.
