According to the Metropolis Police Department, officers were called on Saturday to a home in the 200 block of West 18th Street. Officers were told that 21-year-old Samantha D. Charles of Metropolis was at the home and refused to leave.
Upon arrival, officers learned that Charles had threatened the victim with a knife. Charles was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
She was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.
