Metropolis Man Faces Domestic Violence Charge
By West Kentucky Star Staff
METROPOLIS, IL - An infant child was caught between an arguing couple when things turned violent last week, and a Metropolis man now faces domestic violence charges.

The Metropolis Police Department says officers responded on Wednesday to a fight at a home in the 500 block of West 4th Street. The investigation reportedly showed that 26-year-old Jordan Christopher McVickers of Metropolis put his girlfriend in a “bear-hug” during an argument, squeezing her tightly while she was holding their 5-month-old son. The baby was pinned between them, and began crying.

Vickers was arrested and charged with domestic battery. He was booked into the Massac County Detention Center.
