McCracken County DUI Crash Sends 3 to Hospital

Three people were sent to the hospital after a two vehicle crash late Thursday night on Lovelaceville Road in McCracken County.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, 31-year-old Ashlee Koster, Paducah, had her 5-year-old daughter in the vehicle, and was driving along Lovelaceville Road about 10:20 pm.  Deputies say Koster allegedly crossed the center line and hit a vehicle being driven by 24-year-old Felicia Rixie, Grantsburg, IL.

In a news release, deputies say Koster was "manifestly under the influence of alcohol and medication," and was placed under arrest.

All three people were taken to Paducah hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.

Koster has been charged with Driving Under the Influence 1st, Criminal Mischief 3rd, Assault 1st, and Wanton Endangerment 1st.  A court date is pending.

Deputies say the roadway was closed for two hours, due to the crash.
